This event was CONCRETE WEEK Celebration by ICI Pune, in association with M/s UltraTech, supported by
Dr Ramchandra, Mr. YTVV Prasad and Mr. Hemant Jain. Mr. Harsh and Team was Co-Ordinator.
- Mr. Amit, Ms Sucheta and Mr. Suhas have managed the Digital Platform from ICI Pune and Mr. Harsh and Team from M/s UltraTech.
- The Concrete Week was celebrated on 3 days, – 6th Sep 2020, 13th Sep 2020 and 20th Sept 2020.
Preface:
All the speakers are well known in Construction Industry and have their own expertise in engineering field. The event was planned to share their experiences as young Engineer till now and the challenges they faced. The speakers also shared their Child-Hood and Family support.
During the speech they expressed Structural design, Material selection, Construction Management, Man-Power Management, Discipline, Passion, Ownership, Quality, Safety and so on.
This is certainly motivation to young Engineers, who will be Nation Builders of future.
Mr SD Limaye Explained CEMCON 2020 to be presented by ICI Pune from 11th Dec 2020 till 19th Dec 2020.
CONCRETE WEEK – 1st Session with Prof MS Shetty on 6th Sep 2020
The evet started at 10:00 am and ended around 12:30 with no break. Prof MS Shetty had narrated his experience as a young Engineer Student, Professor and Advisory to many renowned Institutions. His passion and Energy to express is well appreciated. Prof. MS Shetty has contributed for creating Awareness for Quality Concrete from early years of independence till today thru his lectures, Research Papers and finally compiled in TEXT BOOK referred by universities.
Ar Priya Gokhale was the Anchor and managed the live event more interesting thru her poetic talk.
CONCRETE WEEK – 2nd Session with Mr. SD Limaye on 13th Sep 2020
The Event started at 10:00 am and was well presented thru slides / Photos, the works done with Indian Railways. It was amazing to note that Indian Engineers have contributed efforts with Design Knowledge and Executed the Quality Construction with Limited Mechanical assistance available during his professional period. Mr. SD Limaye and his team has put great effort all the time. It is obvious that Indian Railways have made World-wide Impact.
Ar Priya Gokhale has once again made this event lively and informative.
CONCRETE WEEK – 3rd Session with Mr. VB Gadgil on 20th Sep 2020
Event opened at 10:00 am Mr. Ujwal Kunte interacted with Mr. VB Gadgil, this was more like conversation. He emphasized on Team Building, Discipline. Accepting Challenges at every stage of professional life was well explained.
A Comparison bet INDIAN ARMY and CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY is thought provoking.
Mr. VB Gadgil has suggested to incorporate ASPHALT CONCRETE as subject for Discussion thru ICI Pune.

The event was successful for the contribution of all members from ICI Pune and M/s UltraTech. Success of event was mainly the speakers and their rich experience of few decades. At the same time Mr. Ujwal Kunte, Mr. Prasad Sevekari, Mr. Ramesh Kulkarni, Mr Suneel Kulkarni, Ms Chitra Gorhe and Ar Priya Gokhale have supported to brighten up the event.
